William Grossmann

Bill died peacefully at home on January 11, 2025, with his loving wife of 72 years, Neddra, holding his hand, and Charla by his side. Bill was born on February 6, 1930 to Walter and Hilda Grossmann in Pasadena, California. Bill attended high school in Pasadena and Junior College at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA, where he met Neddra, and proposed while she was attending UC Santa Barbara. Bill attended the University of California at Berkeley as a Pre-Med Student and continued his romance with Neddra. Bill proudly served his country as a helicopter pilot during the Korean War. William and Neddra were married on June 20, 1952, and started their family, bringing three beautiful daughters into their lives, Dunnell, Charla, and Nori. After the War, Bill worked for Ricks Helicopters and then moved onto a career with New York Life Insurance Company where he and Neddra supported and enjoyed their daughters pursuing their hopes and dreams, sports, dancing, and all extracurricular endeavors. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Hilda Grossmann, and his in-laws, William and Muriel Dunnett. He is survived by his loving wife, Neddra, daughters, Dunnell and Walter Crossman, Charla Grossmann, and Nori and Ben Thompson. His grandchildren, Erin Hedrick and her husband Colin, Nathan Lorch and his wife Milena, Eliana Thompson, and great-grandchildren Piper Hedrick, Brielle Lorch and Eva Lorch. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am March 23,2025 at St John's United Church of Christ at 480 San Anselmo Ave N., San Bruno, Ca, 94066. In place of flowers, a donation in Williams' name can be made to a beneficiary of your choice.
