I met Claude Jarman over forty years ago when I volunteered at the San Francisco International Film Festival. I felt a special connection because of the similarity of our names. When my job with Francis Coppola´s Zoetrope Studios was transferred to Los Angeles, I told Claude of my struggle of continuing to work for the company I wanted to align myself with or of staying in my beloved, native city. He listened kindly and told me, if I relocated, I could always go home again. After all these years, I still live in West Hollywood, and I still remember his thoughtfulness, his open, easy-going nature, and his fine interpretations in "The Yearling", "Intruder in the Dust", and other films. My condolences to the Jarman family! Claudine Stevens

My mother took me to see "The Yearling" in Newtown Bucks County PA where I grew up. I will be 88 this year and have watched this movie so many times. Claude will always be a memorable actor, in other movies also. Rest in Peace Claude.

I coached his son, Murray at a Basketball camp at Stetson U. in Deland FL in about 1977. He was one impressive young man in all aspects. A son any father would be proud of.

Rest in Peace, Claude. It was a true honour and a joy to have corresponded with you for twenty years and to have spent time with you, first in London and then (so memorably) in Knoxville, at the Clarence Brown Film Festival in August 2023. You were a gentleman and a great talent. Condolences to Katie and all the family.

I will truly miss you "Pa" as I used to refer to him when I first started at JT. He actually responded to being called by that name and loved it! My 23 years with CJ at the helm were the very best! We traveled the world, laughed till we cried, joked until the very end but always remained humble and grateful. CJ, you had a wonderful life and you included us in it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart with much love. To Katie, the girls and the rest of the family, may the Lord grant you the strength to endure this loss.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Jarman family on your loss. Claude was a dear friend of mine for over 30 years. We first met when his firm, Jarman Travel handled our roadshows @ Robertson Stephens.
Claude literally took me to places I'd never been, even though I am a proud native San Franciscan. He taught me about the beauty and strengths of relationships whether it be in business or personal.
I really got to know Claude during the past ten years of our friendship. Whether it be going to a Giants game or simply grabbing his favorite club sandwich @ the local deli. I would bring the sandwiches back to his
house and we would enjoy them on his deck overlooking Mount Tam. And, I would always quote Louis Armstrong and say "Shangri-la, Really-la!" Perry's for a burger was another favorite go to for us.
Claude always teased me about attending military academy in Lebanon, TN right outside his beloved Nashville. In his own unique way, I think he was proud that I had the Nashville area experience.
Nothing but good times!
Fare thee well my good friend~
