Claudine Ann Garrigues passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Claudine was born on February 13, 1938 in San Francisco to Arthur and Georgette Domergue and was the youngest of three children. She attended Notre Dame des Victoires elementary and high school in San Francisco and graduated in 1955. She married the love of her life, Albert Garrigues, in 1958. Claudine and Al moved from San Francisco to Redwood City in 1963 where they raised their two children, Lisa Ferrari and Gary Garrigues. Claudine was an active member of St. Pius Parish in Redwood City for many years. She enjoyed vacations in Yosemite and Lake Tahoe with Al and her children before going on many trips in their motor home across the US, Mexico and Canada. They met many friends along the way and especially loved their extended time spent on the central coast in Pismo Beach. Claudine loved her beautiful home and gorgeous yard in Redwood City and loved to garden in her younger years. She became very talented at needlepoint and created countless gorgeous pieces. This hobby introduced Claudine to a group of amazing women who became wonderful friends that were like family to her. Claudine was a huge animal lover and cherished her many cats and dogs over the years, especially her adorable cat, Georgie, who was a faithful loving companion in the last few years. The biggest joys in her life were her four grandchildren who called her Meme. Claudine is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ferrari and son, Gary Garrigues; son in-law, Ron Ferrari and her grandchildren, Gina Ferrari, Renée Ferrari, (future grandson in-law, Shane Lewis), Camille Garrigues and Lucas Garrigues; sister in-law, Terry Domergue and numerous nieces and nephews. Claudine is predeceased by her husband, Albert Garrigues; her parents, Arthur and Georgette Domergue; sister and brother in-law, Jeanette and Gus Grialou; and brother and sister in-law, Paul Domergue and Margie Domergue Davis. Claudine's family will be forever grateful to Isabelle Osorio and her daughter Johana who helped her immeasurably over the last few years. Claudine will be dearly missed by her family and friends in the years to come. Funeral services will be held at St. Pius Church, 1100 Woodside Road in Redwood City at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
