Dario Baciocco Obituary

Dario Anthony Baciocco passed away January 24, 2012 at the age of 87. Born in San Francisco on August 15, 1924, Dario was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 104th Infantry Division (Timberwolves) serving in Europe during WWII. "Bach" met his wife of 65 years, Katherine (Hartl) in New Jersey while at Rutger's University in the service, and brought her back to San Francisco to live. In 1951 they moved to Windsor Drive in Daly City to raise their growing family. They are one of the last of the original Windsor Drive families to still live there. They became founding members of Our Lady of Mercy Church, and Dad helped with decorations on many festivals and other events for the church and school, where all of his children attended. He was the owner of Parkside Appliance Service of San Francisco since 1956, where he worked with his sons and grandsons, and served many loyal customers over the years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Kay, his children Terry (Dennis Zouzounis), Linda, Karen, Dan (Diane), Tom (Lora), and Lauretta (Sam Anderson); his grandchildren Katrina (Sione Kofeloa) and Kevin (Kristalin) Zouzounis, Chandra and Nina Simi, Rick and Dan Baciocco, Ryan Young, and Anna, Sarah, and Christopher Anderson. He was thrilled and very proud of his twin great-grandsons, Dario and Jordan Kofeloa. Friends may visit Thursday, January 26, 2012 after 6:00pm at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 1 Elmwood Drive, Daly City where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated Friday, January 27th at 11:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Interment Italian Cemetery, Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Our Lady of Mercy Building Fund, 1 Elmwood Drive, Daly City 94015, or to Salesians of St. John Bosco, 1100 Franklin Street, San Francisco 94109.

My deepest condolences to the entire Baciocco family on the loss of your husband and father. My late parents (Bob and Jeanne White)valued him as a friend. They relied on his kindness and expertise when needing service for their appliances and I fondly remember him from all the many years at the OLM Festival. May he rest in peace.
