I just heard the news today, Oct. 7th. Dave was the big college kid next door! So cool! And he had a drivers license and cute friends. I was about 12 at the time, so he seemed so grown up to me. So very sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with all of you! I am sure Dave will be greatly missed.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I counted him a friend, and relied on his sage advice and wise counsel when I was manager at PMA's Oakland office. The maritime industry has lost one of its best and brightest, and is a lessor place for it. Rest in peace, Dave, you're in my prayers.

This is what I knew and loved about Dave Brownson: He was a great friend who never waivered; he loved his wife and family; he had a great and contagious laugh; he was so smart and confident just short of being a snob; he was easy and fun to talk to; men respected him and women loved him; and he kept the most organized and immaculate shelves I have ever seen. He was a man's man. We were friends for 45 years, and while I wish I had seen more of him, I would not have traded the time I shared with him for anything. God bless his memory.

David's passing is a sorrowful time for your family.
Words are so inadequate at a time like this.
There is so little one can say, but our hearts go out to you.
Please accept our deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts.
