David Haning Obituary
June 22, 1971 – February 1, 2015
Beloved son of Zerne and Elizabeth Haning died unexpectedly in San Francisco. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his brother John Haning (Caryn), and sister Sarah Garbarino (Gary), his Aunts and Uncle, Jim and Ruth Morgan, Emily Hewetson and Dorothy Simanek, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.David graduated from San Mateo High School and Butte College and worked many years as a plumber in the Bay area. David was an avid fan of Bay area sports However, his primary interest was supporting and playing Disc Golf. He was an early member of the San Francisco Disc Golf Club and played around California and Nevada for many years, making friends along the way. He was a generous person, always ready to give a helping hand. Many in the Disc Golf community say that David helped them improve their game and their enjoyment of the sport. In addition to Disc Golf, David loved nature, animals and the water.
He will be remembered for his winning smile and his room shaking laugh. He will be missed by all who loved him. May he rest in peace.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Friends of Golden Gate Park or to the Peninsula Humane Society.
