David Lofton
March 6, 1951 - January 25, 2023
Dave passed away at home at age 71 from complications of diabetes and infections. He was born in Redondo Beach, CA the fourth of seven children of James and Helen Lofton. Predeceased by his parents and his brothers John, James and Gordon. He is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Rachel, son Nathan and daughter-in-law Diana Wensley, as well as his sisters Nona and Kathy and brother Gary.
Dave earned a Bachelors of Fine Art at Northwestern University, LA. He worked as a graphic artist and screenprinter, creating t-shirt art for many rock bands in the 1970s. Since the 90's he concentrated full time on his fine art. He was inspired by the Bay Area's urban and natural landscapes.
A memorial will be held at a later date. Donations to Special Olympics and the Janet Pomeroy Center.
