Dennis Coffin Obituary

Dennis Milton Coffin Late of San Bruno and a San Mateo County resident for 38 years. Died while riding his custom built Harley Davidson motorcycle on December 2, 2006 in South San Francisco. Loving father of Terra and Petra Coffin of San Mateo and their mother and his long time companion Daphne Muehlendorf; devoted son of Alto and Jean Coffin of San Bruno; dear brother of Dana Coffin of San Bruno; also survived by his uncle and godfather Joseph (Joanne) Coffin; his Aunt Marjorie Talbott; his cousins Carol Hardin, Ted Cochran, William (Lynda) Talbott Jr. and their children Zachary and Zoe; his godmother Isabel Claiborne and other family relations, Mary Rose, Jimmy, Jackie, Madeline, Sharen, Kathy, Roslyn, John, Tina, Bob, Joseph, Jeff, John, Jackie. A native of San Francisco's Mission District, born at Saint Joseph's Hospital, also lived in San Mateo, Redwood City and Oahu, Hawaii, age 53 years. He attended Saint Peter's school in San Francisco, Parkside Junior High, Crestmoor High School Class of 1971 and Skyline College in San Bruno. He worked for many years in legal support services at NOW Air Courier and recently at Pacific Research and Retrieval as an office manager. A lifetime love with music, beginning with the Beach Boys and the Beatles. He was a long time organist, guitarist and most notably as a drummer with Bullett, The FOG and the Marshall Law Band. He was an avid outdoorsman from Stumpy Meadows to the Sierras. He enjoyed his motorcycle rides with his buddies, from the California Redwoods to Sturgis. Friends and family may visit at the CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS on Friday, at 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be on Saturday at 3:00 PM at the CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS, El Camino Real at 194 Millwood Drive in Millbrae. In lieu of flower, the family prefers donations to the American Liver Foundation at 870 Market Street, Suite 1048, S.F., CA 94102.

Thanks to all of you who have sent your greetings and/or attended the funeral and reception this past Sat.
The girls and I are overwhelmed by all of your love and support.
We celebrated Dennis' life on Sat and it was truly wonderful, he would have loved it.
