Dennis Galvin Obituary

Dennis Galvin
12/26/35 - 12/8/24
Passed away peacefully at home. God broke the mold when Dennis was born to John and Mary Galvin on December 26, 1935 in San Francisco. He was the youngest of six children: John, Jim, Pat, Helen, and Neil, all deceased. He attended St. Paul's Grammar School and Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1953, and was drafted into the army. He was a member of the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, Harding Park Golf Course.
Dennis was a true gentleman, a devoted husband, a generous listener, a best friend, and a proud father to Marie and Denise. He always put us first, and he was always there for us. He was an avid reader. He enjoyed playing golf, solving crossword puzzles and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He was a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; daughters, Marie (Alex) and Denise (Marcos); his grandchildren, Fiona, Dylan and Kate; and his loyal companions, Luna and Mango. Also survived by his dear friend and sister-in-law, Pat McCormick and her family; and by many nieces and nephews here and in Ireland and England.
Private services were held.

Dennis was one of the nicest people I ever met. I worked with him in Harding Park. My condolences to family.
