January 27, 1947 - May 13, 2023
Dennis Collum Prator, age 76, passed away on the night of May 13, 2023 following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Dennis was born January 27, 1947, in San Francisco to Donald and Betty Prator. Dennis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Michele Durand Prator; his two sons Mark (Margo) and Matt (Meera Heller); grandchildren Jeffrey, Alexis, Minna, and Max; sisters Elizabeth Prator-Ross and Mary Prator. He was preceded in death by his brother Charles and sister Joan.
A lifelong resident of San Francisco and Daly City, Dennis was a longtime fan of the Giants and 49ers, and loved to tell stories of Kezar, Candlestick, and when Hall of Famer YA Tittle threw footballs to the neighborhood kids on Rockaway Avenue. Besides his two hometowns, Dennis and Michele loved Clear Lake, where they had a second home in Glenhaven and still have close friends.
The family has opted to hold a small private remembrance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
