With deep love and sorrow, we share that Dianne Tohati Harb died peacefully at her home in Orinda at 80. Born in Michigan, she moved to California in her twenties and built a generous, joyful life. She was the loving mother of Kelly Pritula (1965–1995), whose eternally youthful spirit she cherished. In the 1970s she helped form the "Liberty Street Gang," six families from El Cerrito who celebrated together for 57 years. An adventurous chapter took Dianne and Kelly to Perth, Australia. In 1991 she married Joseph M. Harb, former Orinda mayor. She loved golf, cooking, baking bread, travel-especially Paris-and her Abyssinian, Lulu. A natural caregiver, she supported Joe through Parkinson's and cared for Aunt Ruthie with Alzheimer's. Dianne adored her grandchildren and closest friends, Bonnie & Gino Kaster, and their daughter Victoria Szuggar (Vicky). Survived by stepchildren Suzanne Mackay, Marcella Hauser (Ken), and Paul Harb (Damitra); beloved grandchildren Zoe and Phillip Hauser of San Rafael, California, and Ethan and Charlize Harb of Menlo Park, California, and Melbourne, Australia; sister, Margaret Battiste, nephew, Christopher Coombes (Sarah), and their children Brynn, Rosalie, Ulrik, and Liam, of Brookneal, Virginia.
