Dorothy Curran Obituary

Dorothy DeEtte Curran Dorothy DeEtte Curran, age 82, passed away in Belmont after long-time complications from Alzheimer's Disease on March 7, 2006. She was born on October 24, 1923 in Detroit, MI, and was a resident of San Francisco for 40 years. Dorothy was president of the Mother's Guild at Mercy High School in SF from 1967-1968, loved reading and listening to the SF Giants. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Henry J. Curran who passed away in 1998 and her grandson Thomas Lavezzoli. Dorothy is survived by her beloved children Robert and his wife Judy Curran of Belmont, Nancy Curran and her partner Kathleen Schafer of San Jose, Mary Lavezzoli of Santa Rosa and Kevin and his wife Yvette Curran of Oakley; her cherished grandsons Mark and Michael Curran and David Lavezzoli; and great-grandchildren Grace Curran and Tommy Lavezzoli. Private services have been held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. Contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 2065 El Camino Real, Mountain View, CA 94040 or to Sutter VNA Hospice, 700 S. Claremont St. Suite 220, San Mateo, CA 94402. She will be missed!
