Doug has been a great friend of mine since high school. We had many great adventures together over the years. He had a great sense of humor and a very kind spirit. I will miss him a lot.

Dearest Loretta, Jeannie and Paul. I was so saddened to hear of Doug's death. I am in shock. What a wonderful man he was and how you will miss him.

I was flipping channels last night; and, lo and behold, what should I happen to come across on HBO...???
"Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home!!!"
...I heard Doug's voice in my head, saying: "...Everybody remember where we parked!" ;)P

I'm absolutely stunned!
Doug was one of a kind!
Thank you for being my friend since the mid-80's.
...I'm hoping someone notifies Andrew in his lab on the East Coast. Our institute triple-bond of almost 30 years ago was epic!
Rest in peace, you Space Spud!
