Douglas G. Taylor It is with great sadness that the family of Doug Taylor announces his passing at his home in San Francisco on June 11, 2012 at the age of 52 years. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his partner of 25 years, Beatriz St. John, and his brothers and sisters Diana (Howard), Marianne, Paul, Loretta, Gerard (Patricia), and Jeanne. Doug will also be fondly remembered by his nieces & nephews Elizabeth, Amelia (Will), Howard, Jr., Clara, Megan and Colin. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Mary J. and Harold G. Taylor. He will be sadly missed by many friends and colleagues. A native of San Francisco, Doug was a graduate of Lick Wilmerding High School, attended College of Notre Dame, Belmont and was a graduate of U.C. Berkeley. Doug worked as a senior engineer for 29 years for The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, San Francisco, CA. He was an enthusiastic hiker and traveler and loved the outdoors, art, literature, music, and people. Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Thursday, June 21st at 1:00 pm at St. Agnes Church, 1025 Masonic Avenue, San Francisco, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cal Baseball, U.C. Berkeley or the charity of your choice.
