E.A. Sandberg Obituary

E.A. "Sandy" Sandberg Of San Bruno, at rest in Burlingame, May 15, 2006. He was the dearly beloved husband of Phebe Sandberg for 58 years and loving father of Christie Lou May and her husband, Terry and Robert Alan Sandberg and his wife, Shantara. Son of the late Axel Sandberg and Christie Sandberg, brother of the late Charles Sandberg and Sorretta Trigges. A native of Cheyenne, WY, age 85, he had lived in this area since 1954. He was an active Air Force reservist, served in WWII and the Korean War and retired from military service as a Lt. Col. He retired from the State Compensation Insurance Fund, employed from 1949-1986 and served as president from 1976-1986. He was a lifelong Mason, and a member of the Shriners, the Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies. Family and friends are invited to the Memorial Service, Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 3:00 PM at New Vision United Methodist Church, 450 Chadbourne, Millbrae. Private interment, Skylawn Memorial Park. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or New Vision United Methodist Church, Millbrae, 94030.

Phebe - Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My memories of Sandy will always be fond, and I will always treasure his friendship and good humor. He will be missed by many but always remembered warmly and kindly.
