Edward J. Benedict

Edward J. Benedict Died June 27, 2006 at the age of 79. Ed, a native of Connecticut came to San Francisco in 1970, immediately fell in love with the City and found the love of his life, Yvonne Benedict, a native of Dublin, Ireland. With Yvonne by his side, Ed lived and loved life to the fullest. He appreciated every aspect of "recreation" that San Francisco offered him - the symphony, theatre, dancing, outdoor activities and in later years, classes at the Fromm Institute at USF. Ed enjoyed his career working at Martin Luther Tower and the Heritage, both life care facilities. Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne, as well as his sister Mary Killion; brother, Frank and Barbara Benedict; his nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed will be greatly missed by his friends on both coasts. Friends will remember him for his kindness, generosity and as the host of many joyous gatherings and spirited debates.
