The last time I spoke with Ed was last october when I informed him that my youngest daughter Maya was marrying and he was so happy for us! But his voice was not as firm as before and he told me he had problems in writing. When I could not reach him at Easter for the greetings I felt something had happened to him!...
My husband Lorenzo met Edward in 1999 and since then they became close friends.
Edward often stopped at our home, sometimes alone sometimes with Gay, and together we spent many nice days. Also my children loved him and he loved them, particularly Marcello who had attended the Italian Navy Academy and is deeply interested in naval story and strategy, so they had many common points to discuss.
We all are very very sad and deeply feel his loss. But I am sure Ed and Lorenzo have now a new way of staying together in the joy and glory of God.
Edward remains in our memory as a very nice man, rich of interests and always open to new experiences. He keeps a place in our heart as a very dear friend.
Condolences to the Nixon family.

I consider myself fortunate that I was able to meet with Ed at the Cascade Centennial Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution meeting in Bellevue, WA a couple of years ago. He was a very good speaker sharing stories from his memoir.

I had both of you Amy and Beth as students. For whatever reason we had a conferences at school. Our principal Jerry Karnofski knee both your parents. In fact a few years later Your Mom and I would become fellow staff friends. Prior to the conference I had not met your Dad. I walked into the room and could not take my eyes off your Dad. He gently smiled and said, I am his brother.
Over the years he stayed in touch. He personally brought me a copy of The Nixons A Family Portrait. Your Dad recognized climate change before so many others. I will hold his memories in my heart. Heal dear ones.

I met Mr. Nixon outside Klopfensteins clothing store where I worked. He looked so much like his brother and was friendly. President Nixon was at my championship fight at Madison Garden on March 21, 1966, my good friend got his autograph that evening for me. He wasn't President yet. I still have his picture and autograph hanging up in my home. I will pray for Edward.

I give thanks to the man who kept his brothers legacy alive. My respect and condolences to the Nixon Family.
God Bless Edward Nixon. The voting age was 21 and the first time I was able to cast a vote was for Richard Nixon in 1972. Not very popular for a blue collar democrate from Massachusetts. I always believed you vote for the best person to do the job. I did.

Extending my deepest sympathies to Edward's entire family and community of friends. The Nixon family has a long history of remarkable contribution to our world, and Edward's service to our country, his community, his profession, and fellow man was consistent with that honorable distinction.

I had the unique honor of spending my growing up years with Beth and Amy,as well Ed and Gay. I have so many memories of the time spent in their home and mine during the late sixties and seventies. Ed was a kind and gentle man who loved his daughters unconditionally. (He put up with the antics of Beth and myself, so he did have a great sense of humor!). My heart and prayers are with the family. Remembering Ed will always make me smile.

Had the pleasure of meeting Mr Nixon a few times. Wonderful and warm to talk with. God bless him, grant him rest and comfort to his family.

Ed was a great instructor in Navy flight school when I attended. He was outstanding in his knowledge of various engines used in Naval aircraft, and one of the few instructors (knowing them as a student) who had a heart of gold and really cared about his students. One other important fact which I notice is that Ed passed away on my birthday 27 Feb. I was fortunate to know him at that time in my life.

I met Ed Nixon and his wife and daughters over a steak and potatoes dinner at their home near Seattle in the summer of 1977. Mr. Nixon and his family could not have been nicer or more welcoming. What a life all the Nixons have lived. Ed was a great guy. My thoughts are with Ed and Gay's daughters.

My heart goes out to the Nixon family. I have lost both parents in the past few years, so I fell for you. I know that Edward was the last of five children, my faher was the last of his father's children.
