We are saddened to say that our beloved dad, Edwin (Ed) R. Ness passed away after a short stay at a skilled nursing facility. Having lived independently at home, with some additional help, he was 2 months shy of his 95th birthday. Dad was born in Albion, California to Arthur & Lillian Ness and was the eldest of their 3 sons. He was a young child when the family moved to San Francisco where he lived until his passing.

Cathy, Linda & Peggy,
Dan & I are heartbroken after hearing about the loss of your Dad. Dan especially loved talking to your Dad about carpentry & tools & seeing the latest project he was making for you girls!! We still have a napkin holder & desk organizer tray he made for our Mom!
I shared more memories on another obituary post that i saw be4 this one so i wont repeat myself. But please know that your Dad was very proud of you girls! Plus my Mom sure loved talking to Ed esp when my Dad passed away. He was a wonderful man & father! Our family will miss him very much & the neighborhood will not be the same without him. Love Kathy Kelly & Dan

Linda, Peggy & Cathy. I will miss your Dad very much. He's always been around well...forever. I have lots of memories of him from a young age on. I will miss seeing him sitting on his couch every night when I passed by. May he rest in peace.
