Eleanor Kimbell Obituary

Eleanor Louise Kimbell

Native of Canada and longtime resident of San Francisco, passed on peacefully at the age of 98 on the morning of May 8th, 2013.


Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond S. Kimbell, her parents Charles and Adlelaide Vandewater, sisters Veronica Jachens, Irene Karagus and brothers Harold, Charles and Ralph Vandewater.


She is survived by her children Frank Batmale (Karen) and daughter Lorraine Levin (Ken); grandchildren Diane Brown (Ron) Rachel Levin, Matthew Batmale (Adrienne), Jennifer Hall (Jason) and Sarah Batmale; great grandchildren, Kristen, Ashley, Samantha and Joseph Brown, Daphne Batmale, Alyssa, Emma, Carter and Parker Hall, and sister Florence Mc Inerney.


As per her wishes, her ashes will be scattered at sea at a private family service.


Her family appreciates the fine care she received at Providence Place and their employees, and from the home health aide workers from Hospice By The Bay.


In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Hospice By The Bay 1902 Van Ness Ave. (2nd floor), San Francisco, California, 94109.

Eleanor was my grandmother's (Veronica's) sister, and I was glad to be able to meet her at her home in San Francisco at least a couple of times. I remember she and her husband Raymond being very nice people.
