ELLA HUM Obituary

Resident of Oakland
Ella Hum, 88, passed away on September 3, 2012 at Kaiser Oakland Hospital. Mrs. Hum was born in Seattle, Washington and was the third youngest of twelve children. While living in San Francisco, Mrs. Hum worked in the Tea and Restaurant business and was a member of the Chinatown Salesman Club. She was also active in several family and charitable organizations including Chew Lun Benevolent Association, Tom Kong Yu Family Association and On Lok Senior Center. In 1980 she moved across the bay and worshipped at the Chinese Independent Baptist Church in Oakland's Chinatown. Ella was a loving Christian who enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and helping others.
Ella Hum is survived by her brother David of Alameda, CA, and sister Pauline in Glendale, CA. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and nine siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Foo Hum.
