Horrible, Awful, Unbelievable, I still can't comprehend it. I am so sorry for you Mrs. Friedlander, Lisa and Ann. Eric was a great person, I remember all those weekends and long summer weeks at the Vineyard, playing, laughing, fighting, sailing, jeeping, learning to grow up with good caring people around us.The Friedlander house was rated number ONE as the best snack, book, hammock, trampoline, and horse house at the Vineyard and Eric was a big part of that. I believe he holds the record for fender-benders of the Vineyard driving set. Eric will be sorely missed by everyone that ever got to know him as a boy, teenager and adult.

Dear Nancy, Anne, and Lisa,
I am so terribly sorry; my heart sunk when I heard the news. I wish I could do more than to express my sadness and wish for your strength during this time.
My memories of Eric will always be fond ones of our care-free days as kids at the Vineyard. We had so many good times; riding, swimming, sailing, 4-wheeling, playing at the river, cookouts, trampolining, and wonderful dinners at your house. As one of the younger Vinyard kids I remember Eric as always being kind and a big brother you could look up to. He was an all around nice guy.
Eric, and your wonderful family hold a very dear place in my heart.
All my love and best wishes,

Shocking...Eric was a good friend and a student for so many years. Had so many good memories not just from training but also trips in the Philippines. TONY REYES, Founder Karate USA

Nancy;
I'll always remember Eric. Years ago, he took me boating on the lake. At first I was a little scared; but he immediately reassured me and even taught me a little bit. He was a very competent sailor and I had a lot of fun. Much later, we worked together for a summer; and he was always cheerful and easy to be around. I will always have only warm and happy memories of him.
I'm so very sorry for your loss; you are in my thoughts.

I knew Eric from the days at the Vinyard, I remember spending hrs on their trampolin going 4 wheeling and getting stuck.
I remember Dick always had his work parties to Little Sulpher creek in the spring. I remember his Mom and Dad were really good people and that they alway treated Eric, Lise and Anne very well.
As we grew older we'd happen to run into each other over the 4th of July up at the Vinyard.
In fact the last time I saw him was 9 yrs ago at the Vinyard on the 4th we had all changed because we had lives of our own but the Vinyard was a place where we could return to and relive our younger days.
I like to say I have very fond memories of Eric, the Vinyard and the mischief we all seemed to get into on the weekends.
Nancy, Lisa and Anne you all are in my prays because I can only imagine what your going through, I will miss him very much too.
God bless you all.
Lee Miller.
