Ernest Sherne Obituary

Ernest J Sherne

March 5, 1932 - June 10, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Ernest (Ernie) J Sherne announces his passing at the age of 86 years. Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his children: Gary (Sandy Frucht), Jana and Caryn, and his four granddaughters, Whitney, Dana, Yael and Maya, and his partner, Flora Pena. Ernie was predeceased by his two wives, Janice and Beverly.
Ernie was playful and loved to tell jokes and play games, especially golf and bridge. He always said his first language was Math, and after serving in the US Army as a Math Instructor, he had a long career as a CPA and Financial Analyst, retiring from Kaiser Permanente. He loved music, played the trumpet well into his eighties, and sounded the Shofar on Jewish High Holidays at various synagogues in the Bay Area. Ernie had the good fortune to retire early and enjoyed world travel, but his favorite place was Bishop, California, during the spring with the beautiful wildflowers.
Ernie made the world a better place, just by being himself. Now he is at rest and will be dearly missed by his many family and friends. May his memory be for a blessing.

I am so sorry to read of Ernie's passing. He was my very first boyfriend many years ago. I remember his parents, Paula and Ernie. They were always so kind to me. May he Rest In Peace. Fondly,
Vera (Livingston) Stein
