Francisco Aviles Obituary

Francisco J. Aviles Francisco, known lovingly as "Pancho," was born Dec. 11, 1936, in Granada, Nicaragua, passed away peacefully in his home in South San Francisco on January 1, 2006, at age 69. Beloved husband of Thelma for 47 years. Loving father of Nora, Francisco (Martha), Cynthia (Wayne), and Jeffrey (Janet). Adored grandfather of Jennifer, Alexandria, Kathryn, Francisco III, Victoria, Jeffrey Jr., and Vanessa. Loving brother of Marianna and Guillermo. Dear brother-in-law of Guillermo Lejarza (Dulia), Nora Merayo (Antonio), Cecilia Lejarza and Conchita Aviles. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his cousin Carlos Aleman, whom he loved as a son. Preceded in death by his beloved parents Jose and Angela; and his brother Pete. He was a California State employee for many years. Francisco made our lives so much richer by being such a good and generous person. His sense of humor left us with many wonderful memories. His compassion for people was of utmost importance. He was a beloved friend and role model to all he met. He gave selflessly of his time and energy and could always be counted on. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend the Vigil Service on Thursday, January 5, 2006, 7:00 pm, at the Tiffany Chapel of Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, CA. Funeral Services to follow on Friday at 11:00 am.
