I am truly sadded with the thought of Frank's passing. Frank will be always be remembered for his athleticism, friends, family, carreer, charm, wit, and most all the ability to lighten up a room with his smirky little smile and a shake of your hand. In thinking back upon Frank's greatest achievements , I believe it was his carrer at Safeway, but truly that could have not happened without the help of his beautiful family. Frank has left a imprint within me and has made me a better person. I can honestly say without a doubt that Frank was one of the greatest people I have ever have the pleasure to know and it is a honor to say he chose me to be one of his friends. In closing , words cannot say how much he will be missed by myself and everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

Jana and I were deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Frank last weekend. Jana and I both worked with Frank at Safeway and Vons, and most recently in Vons in the late 90's.
Frank was one of the nicest and most positive people I've ever worked with, and taught me a lot about the importance of work/life balance and family.
Frank and his family are in our heart and in our prayers. While this is a tragic loss, Frank's family should be proud of the way Frank spoke of them, and of the fact that they, not work, drove his life.
Our sincere condolences,
Brian and Jana Kuz

Frank is one of those individuals with tremendous charisma you meet once in your lifetime. He made everyone smile, laugh and appreciate what life has to offer. I will always remember and cherish the memories of the summer weekends of 1991 at Clear Lake, Delta and Tower Park with his family, John Caine, Victor Rossi and Mike Daniels.

Frank really was one of the "good guys". A wonderful person with a great, infectious laugh, a kind heart and a sense of humor that just didn't stop. I worked with Frank when he was at Vons and had several opportunities since he left here to talk with him and see how he was doing. He was always "great" and he meant it. He really was an inspiration, although I think he would be embarrassed to hear that. To say he will be missed is an understatement. Terri and family, the prayers of all of us at Vons, who knew and cared for Frank, are with you.

Dear Terri/Calfas Family,

I was shocked and saddened to see that the man responsible for hiring me at the Manor Brentwood Store, where Terri use to work as well, had passed at such a young age. I will never forget how kind Frank was - he always had a smile and a great sense of humor. Future managers at that store were never able to fill his shoes, though a couple came close. I will greatly miss him. My heart goes out to his family. Shaye Larkin (use to be known as "Shirley Borba" in past life)

I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. When Frank first joined the Safeway team I was selected by the Division Manager to train him in the Safeway way. He was a quick learner and all who knew him knew he was going to excel. He added a special touch to the lunchs he shared with Larry Pavey and me. I am happy to have known a person of Frank's calibre and will remember him for his humor and his excellence.

Calfas Family,
I'am so sorry for your loss of Frank, he was a wonderful, kind person who always had a smile on his face and good thoughts to share when ever he was around you. I remember him most during the 990 day's he and Bob Lapp, would come by for lunch and we would always go to the Los Altos Coffee Shop and discuss what was wrong and how we could make it better with the Big (S). I will miss him, his chuckle, his wit, he was a genuinely nice guy I will always remember.
My deepest condolences to your entire family during this difficult time. His memory will forever be with me.
