FRANK NAPPI Obituary

Frank Edward Nappi Feb 17, 1950 - June 2, 2012 Frank Edward Nappi of Burlingame, CA passed away at the age of 62 surrounded by his wife, children, and loved ones after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Born in Daly City, CA to the late Ed and Nadine Nappi. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 42 years Mary Frances Nappi (Donohoe). Loving father to Mike (Jill), Jim (Tracy), Tom, Mary Beth, and Frankie and cherished Pop-Pop to Amelia, Lucas, Molly, and Aidan Nappi. Loving brother of Joe Nappi and Janice Armentrout. Upon graduation from Jefferson High School, class of "68"', he followed in his father's footsteps and became a lithographer. He retired after 18 years from that field and then went to work for the SSF Unified School District as a Supervisor. He retired from the school district in 2008 after 22 years of service. Frank married at the age of 20, and soon afterward started his family in Westlake, Daly City. He spent his free time as a young father participating in his five children's various school and sporting events. He was a board member of the Westlake Catholic Men's organization and devoted many hours to the various fundraising events where his children attended Our Lady of Mercy School. He truly valued the friendships he made throughout those memorable years. Frank and his family later moved to Burlingame where they are now members of Our Lady of Angels Parish. Frank's annual vacations to the Russian River, Twain Harte, and Calistoga with his family and friends were his favorite pastimes. Above all else, Frank was happiest when surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and favorite books. Friends may visit Thursday, June 7th after 6:00pm at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1721 Hillside Blvd, Burlingame where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated Friday, 11:00am at Our Lady of Angels. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations preferred to Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, Belmont, CA; The Religious of the Sacred Heart, Atherton, CA; or Saint Ignatius College Preparatory, SF, CA.

Dear Mary,

Endless friends, laughs, tears, never diagreements.

Your Frank is gone but his smirk is still in Frankie's face, his no nonsense attitude in Jim, his gentleness in Tom, his great sense of responsibility in Mike, and his noble wisdom in Marybeth.

We should all be so fortunate to leave such a legacy.

We love you all!

Frank, Thanks for driving all of us kids to our Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball games in the old Ford Ranger. We could always count on you to cheer us on when our parents could not make the games. Also....Thank you for opening your home to all of us so we could hang out and play Pool, strike-outs, and Mike Tyson's punch-out on the Nintendo so we did not get into trouble outside. We had the pleasure of meeting Frank through our good friends and neighbors Jim and Tracy. We knew Frank was a wonderful man and role model by the way he and Mary raised a family of loving, caring, and giving individuals. You are all in our prayers.
