FRANK PARK Obituary

Frank Lane Park
Sept. 5, 1945-Aug 12, 2012
Frank passed away unexpectedly at Lake Tahoe on August 12. He was a native of San Mateo and was in the first graduating class at Aragon High School. After school, he followed his father's footsteps and joined Plumbers Union Local 467. He loved service and repair plumbing and did it for close to fifty years. He started at Lindstrom Plumbing then moved on to Dittmann Plumbing which he later purchased. Not only did he run a successful business, he taught classes at the Local 467 training hall. He was never too busy to help out a fellow plumber or friend.
He loved to drive at a moment's notice, travel anywhere, and attend San Francisco Giant games.
He was preceded in death by his father Merle Park, mother Marjorie Lane, and sister Marilyn Lee. He leaves behind his wife of forty years Marilyn, daughter Maria, granddaughter Cordelia, sis-in-law Margie Taylor, brother-in-law- Ken Lee, nephews Donald Taylor (Sara), Kevin Lee (Kim), nieces Lori Hurley (Dennis), Brenda Lee (Bob), grandnephews Cooper Taylor, Ryan Hurley, Nolan Ottinger, Miles Lee, grandnieces Emily Hurley, Amelia Lee, Sophia Ottinger and beloved family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 29 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, CA. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on September 8 from 1-4 at the Air Transport Employee Local Lodge 1781, 1511 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010

Frank was my first husband. We were just kids and together for only a few years. I was so very shocked and saddened when our daughter Maria called me that morning, hours after he had passed. At the 9/8 Celebration of Life it was wonderful to hear from all who spoke how he became a mentor to so many and that clearly he was a man deeply respected for his love of family, his generosity and honesty and dedication to his craft. He lived life to the fullest and loved his daughter and granddaughter unceasingly. God bless you, Frank, gone far too soon.

I worked with Frank for many years while working at the Manor Assn. He was my saving grace many times when homeowners had problems. He was always there to help with a smile on his face. We had many wonderful dinners together with his family..He became one of my family members. He will be greatly missed but he will be watching over his family from above with his same smiling face with a story to tell. He had so much life and love to give and loved talking about his family and his Giants...Kathy & Bill Rodgers

Franks friendly nature, hearty laugh and warm smile will be missed by me. I saw him often since high school, and I don't think he ever missed a reunion. Beers to you Frank.

I did not know Frank well as I was at Aragon only one year. I do remember his upbeat attitude and easy going nature. Taken from us way too soon. Mike Wood

Though his body will rest in mother earth, his spirit lives on in the next life. I'm glad to have gotten to know Frank while we were at Aragon. He was a good kid. He'll be missed. I pray for peace on his family and friends. Memories are what will keep Frank alive in our hearts and minds.

It is with great sadness that I hear the news of Frank's passing. Frank was always welcomed in my home when plumbing issues arose but those sessions always turned into two friends talking. I will miss Frank's laugh and always happy smile.

I'll always remember Frank as an upbeat, happy guy - he loved attending our class of '63 reunions and holding court, telling great stories. May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Dana Williams
