FREDRIC FREUND

Fredric S. Freund Sept. 23, 1930 - July 9, 2012 Died July 9, 2012 following a short illness. Son of Margaret and Michael Freund, he is survived by his sisters Sally Freund Saltzstein and Peggy Freund Ross, loving daughters Leslie (Christopher Dore) and Ellen (Geoffrey Morse) and grandchildren Connor and Abby. Born in Denver, CO, Fred was raised in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from John Burroughs High School and Brown University. Shortly after serving as a radio operator in the Army, he moved to San Francisco and began a successful career in commercial real estate. A past two-term president of the San Francisco Association of Realtors, Fred was named Honorary Member for Life of the California Association of Realtors in 2011. Fred was active in a number of other business, civic and charitable organizations. He loved travelling, sailing and rowing in the Bay and exemplified the philosophy that life is to be enjoyed with friends and family. Through his efforts and generosity, Fred leaves the world a better place. Those interested in making donations in memory of Fredric S. A private celebration of life in Fred's memory will be held at a later date.
