Harry passed peacefully, surrounded by family at Sunrise of Belmont on November 4, 2012 at age 87. His beloved wife of 51 years, Ramona, preceded him. Loving father of Kurt (Marilyn) Talbot and Carol Talbot. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Talbot, Alexandra Wood (Wayne), and Erika Talbot.
Harry was born in Chicago, IL to Harry and Nina Talbot and moved to CA in 1927. He held fond memories of growing up in Alameda and graduated from Alameda High School in 1943. During WWII (1943-45) Harry was a Technical Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. He served with the 13th Air Force in the Pacific - Halmahera Islands flying in B24 Liberators as Radio Operator and Gunner.
After the war Harry attended UC Berkeley graduating in 1950 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. In 1965 he received his Professional Engineering license. He worked for Bechtel for 33yrs (retired 1993) as an Electrical Estimator, his career spanning across the US, Canada and Saudi Arabia.
He was a superb drummer playing mainly Scandinavian and Big Band music in small bands. He tirelessly pursued tennis, golf, cycling, and jogging; relaxing by reading history and biographies. He backpacked in the Sierras and Yosemite; traveled the world with Ramona photographing their many travels.
Adopting Ramona's Scandinavian heritage, he was Past Master (1976) of the former (Swedish) Balder Lodge #393 F&AM; twice elected President of the Swedish American Patriotic League; President, Sveadal Club (1959); member of the Norwegian Club and Columbia Brotherhood Lodge No. 370 F&AM.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov 16th at 2:00pm in the chapel of Alta Mesa Cemetery, 695 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto, CA 94306 (650/493-1041) reception immediately following.
