Dear Uncle Mas and family,
We have just heard the news of Aunt Ida’s passing. We remember fondly the wonderful visits with both of you when we were traveling through San Francisco. She has had a life worth celebrating. We wish we could be with you later this month at the musical tribute to her life.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
With Love,
George and Lin Hirai

Dear Mas and Family:
Deepest condolences upon the passing of dear, dear Ida. She loved you all so much and also loved her "sister nurses". I will always be grateful for her help to me and that NJAHS was able to recognize her tremendous contribution to her family, community and country.
With admiration and love for Ida,
Dr. Ellen Sawamura and Family
