Irit Levi Obituary
Irit LEVI was born 23 February 1947 in Haifa, Israel to parents who had escaped Germany prior to WW II; Irit came to San Francisco with her family at age ten. She graduated from Lincoln High School, attended San Francisco State College, and received an MA in therapy from Antioch West. In the early 70s Irit spent several years in the Virgin Islands and Stockbridge, Mass., where she first studied acting. In addition to acting, Irit also worked as a Registered Nurse and therapist. For the past 25 years Irit was a resident of Bernal Heights. Irit LEVI died on the 14th of September 2014 at her home in San Francisco.
Irit was predeceased by her parents Heinz and Eleonore LEVI. She is survived by her brother Shaul (Catherine) LEVI and nephews Aaron (Elise) LEVI, Ethan (Elizabeth) LEVI, and Boaz LEVI (Sonja GERRARD). Irit also leaves behind numerous loyal, caring friends, including Joan OMINSKY, Peter WEHAUSEN and Boaz MOR. Graveside services will be held at 1030 Sunday, September 28, at Hills of Eternity Memorial Park, 1301 El Camino Real, Colma.

I have known Irit for many years now. I will always miss her wicked and playful wit; being embarrassed by something she did while dining out; and practicing a little German language. I'm so shocked and sad that her light is now no longer here. Rest in peace dear friend.

Irit was a power to be reckoned with . She was contrary , but had a big heart. She was very private yet outgoing in her roles as an actress. She was open and closed , funny and smart . She could be a challenge ......I shall miss her .
