Isaiah Pierce

December 28, 1925 ~ August 9, 2015

Resident of Daly City, Isaiah Pierce passed away on August 9, 2015 in Kaiser Hospital in South San Francisco after a brief illness. He was 89 years old. Isaiah was born in Clayton, Louisiana. He attended Southern University in Baton Rouge. Isaiah married his childhood sweetheart and their union lasted 54 years. Celia Mae Pierce preceded her husband in death. He was the youngest of 11 siblings and the last surviving child of Abe and Eliza Pierce. Isaiah's professional career spanned over 25 years in the Juvenile Justice System where he worked for the California Youth Authority. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving daughter, Hollis Pierce-Jenkins and her husband Solari; a loving granddaughter, Ashley Celia Pierce Johnson and a host of relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, California. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to St. Martin de Porres Catholic School at www.stmdp.org.

Hollis, Ashley and the Pierce family. We are vey sorry to hear of Ike's passing. He was like a brother to us. and we treasure the times we were able to see him during the past 40 years when we first met him and your Mom, Celia. We will miss him, and enjoy all the good memories.
