February 3, 1934 - December 3, 2017
Jane Dalton was born in San Francisco on February 3, 1934. She was a proud third generation Californian. After attending Alamo & Lawton Grammar Schools in SF, Jane and her family moved to San Anselmo in 1945. In San Anselmo Jane was introduced to the out-of-doors: hiking and riding her beautiful horse "Flash" over the trails of Marin County with friends. Jane graduated from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley and College of Marin. She married Douglas Felt (deceased), moved to San Francisco and worked at Schwabacher-Frey as their design artist. After having children, Jane worked as a fashion model in SF. Jane and Douglas were divorced and Jane moved to Piedmont in 1968 where her children Janet and Bruce attended school. Over the years Jane could always be found out on a hiking trail or a tennis court and she was a member of the Berkeley Tennis Club. She was active in the Etude Club of Berkeley and the Montelindo Garden Club of Orinda. She was also an active volunteer for the National Park Services at Pt. Reyes for the Cultural Resources Department. Jane leaves her husband, Robert E. O'Donnell, daughter Janet Felt Bobinecz (Michael), son Bruce Fäldt (Jennifer), granddaughters Mallory and Riley, and stepchildren Anna, Daniel and Patrick O'Donnell. Jane was an incredible woman. When her childhood friend Barbara re-connected, Jane, in her 80's hopped into her red Mini-Cooper and drove from Piedmont to Carmichael (and Fairfax) to visit. Jane's calls and visits kept Barbara going with joy and laughter through the end of her life.

Jane was my mother's, Margaret Dalton Puppo, favorite cousin. They shared a sharp sense of humor, kindness, and warmth that is greatly missed. My heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. (Isaiah 61:1,2) With heartfelt sympathy.
