I was thinking about Jay and did a Google search. I stumbled upon the article about Dr Jay and Dr Gillespie. Then I noticed the date it was written. I sadly found this obituary. What a nice man. I’m saddened and tearful. Heartfelt belated condolences to his friends and family.

Dear Shelly and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Schnitzer. He was so warm and kind to my mom Bea Badner. He was very knowledgeable and we always learned something new with each appointment. He will be missed but always remembered.

Dr.Jay was an amazing man. He was so helpful to David with respect to his kidney transplant issues. He was so knowledgeable and so forth coming with information that was so helpful. Jay is the cousin of my very dear friend and when we met with him he immediately made us feel like "cousins" too. Even though he had his own medical issues, he talked to us for hours at a time and we greatly appreciated it. We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences Shelley and all the family. I worked with Dr. Schnitzer at Twining Manor. He was a true gentleman, in so many ways. He was so great and caring with the residents. He treated each and every resident with respect and always referred to them by name. He was always telling stories and making the residents laugh. He would remember details about each resident and would talked to them about growing up. He was a man who made his patients feel special. Twining was fortunate to have Dr. Schnitzer for so long. My condolences to his family.

Jay, I am so sorry I never got to meet you, but Wendy always wanted us to, she said we would get along. I know you are at peace but your family hurts. I hold you and them in my heart during this difficult time. I am so happy that Wendy is a part of our family now too. We will join forces with your family to keep her and Mara safe and loved. Love and prayers to you and all affected by your passing. See you on the other side.

Dr. Schnitzer was a truly genuine, sincere man whose virtues toward kindness, caring for others and his profession are unparalleled. The few years I worked with Dr. Schnitzer helped shape myself as a caregiver and I am forever grateful for that opportunity. You will be truly missed. I extend my deepest condolences to Dr. Schnitzer's family.
