I was very sad as I just learned that Jack had passed away.
I met Jack through Mike Colligan at Loyola University in Chicago. We were very close for a few years and then we all moved in different directions--specifically, different states. I remember Jack as always having a good-natured smile. And, of course, an extremely dry sense of humor. Although it was for a short period of a lifetime, he was a very important friend to me at that time. My sympathy to the families.

Very sad to hear that Jack passed away. I met him at Loyola in Chicago and he was a great friend and a wonderful guy. He and I and Bob Chesser spent many an enjoyable evening (and late night) celebrating one thing or another. We kept contact while I lived in Chicago but started to drift apart when I moved to St. Louis. After his move to California we lost touch.
In Chicago, we also discovered we were born in the same Evergreen Park Hospital nine days apart.
I think of him often and can imagine how much of a loss his loved ones must feel.
My condolences.
