John Eberle Obituary

John Joseph Eberle "Jack"

Jack passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving wife and family.
The eldest of eight children, Jack was born April 4, 1930 in San Francisco to the late John and Gertrude Eberle.
He grew up in Colma and attended Thorton and Jefferson Elementary schools.
Jack graduated from Jefferson High School in Daly City.
Jack was a partner and owner of Daly City Scavenger Co. for 45 years. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Millbrae in the early 50's and served on the San Mateo County Grand Jury. He enjoyed hunting, being a member of the South San Francisco Elk's Lodge and traveling with his wife.
Jack was the beloved husband of 60 years to Dolores Desmond Eberle. He was the loving father of Deborah (Greg) Allison, Denise (Eric) Nielsen, John (Patty) Eberle, Ron (Gina) Eberle and Denis (Laurie) Eberle.
He was "Papa Jack" to his 10 grandchildren, Ashley (Garrett) Smallridge, Amber Allison, Brittaney, Hunter and Shannon Nielsen, Austin, Morgan and Braeden Eberle, Matthew and Isabella Eberle, and 2 Great Grandchildren Jordan and Kennedy Smallridge.
Jack was predeceased by sisters Gertrude (decd, Al) Bignardi, Maryann (dec8d. Woody) Collier.
Jack is survived by brothers Joseph (Addie), James (Genie) and George (Karen) Eberle, and sisters Marlis (decd. Henry) Risso and Margarith (Don) Crowe.
He is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces and nephews and a host of long time friends.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Dunstan Church, 1133 Broadway, Millbrae on September 19, 2014 at 11:00 am.
