November 18, 1946 - October 13, 2022
John left a huge hole in his family when he left us on 10/13/2022. His struggles with Parkinson's Disease are over and he is free to walk and drive again. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Susan and two daughters, Kimberley Bassett and Jennifer (Tom) Gracy. He loved his grandson, Nikolas Bassett. His sisters, Lucy Sandoval and Mary Zigabarra were great support. His many nieces and nephews were the source of joy. Family get togethers were always a crowd, lots of laughter.
John worked in IT as a consultant for over 50 years. He volunteered with San Mateo County 4-H for many years. He loved to travel and drive.
The family would like donations to San Mateo County 4-H Scholarship II c/o Ernie Klein; 170 So. Palomar Redwood City, CA 94062.
Memorial Service on Saturday 10/29/22 at Crippen and Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City from noon – 3pm.

I miss your yearly spring time visits and the adventures the four of us would have seeing different Az spots.

I worked with John over 50 years ago . I can remember the fun times we had I will miss him . He was a gentle soul with a huge ability to be there for his friends. I will miss his yearly visits with some and our adventures.

I had the pleasure of working with John at Royal Cruise line. He was a kind and gentle soul, always willing to learn and to share the IT knowledge that he had. I will miss him.
