To my dear family, specially to my Aunt Tere, Ana, David and Terry, all my love and my prayers. I will always remember him reading, studying, driving me all over the Bay Area, going all the way up to Mount Diablo, enjoying the majesty of the ocean, teaching me the History of the places, joking. Will always remember his kindness, his compassion, his deep, profound faith. His essence is with all of us who love him because he will always live in our memories. All my love.

To my dear aunt Tere, my deepest sympathies. I was too little when my aunt and uncle came to Gutatemala city with the children, i was maybe 7 or 8 years old and of course I couldn't speak any English to play with my cousins... but I remember my dear aunt whom I always keep close to my heart. All my thoughts, love and prayers go out to all in the family.

John was always fun and always interesting. We attended school in Ojai together. I spent hours with him when we visited in later life discussing pre-Columbian South America, one of his specialties, as well as just about everything else under the sun. His interests and enthusiasm were boundless. I will miss him.
