John-Stephen Caudill

John was born in Russell, Kentucky to Vennie and Helen Caudill. He moved to California when he was five. He grew up in Sanger, California.
John Graduated from U.C. Berkeley and taught in Oakland. As a young man he was a brakeman for Southern Pacific Railroad. He also owned a courier business. John went back to teaching before his stroke in his 70's.
John loved classical music and opera. He also was a golfer and runner. When his grandchildren were born he was a devoted grandfather, spending a great deal of time with them and taking them to fun and educational experiences.
On March 25, 1965 John married the love of his life, Carolyn Pecoraro, and they were married for 60 years. They have three sons, Mark, Adam (Dana), and Alan (Becky). His grandchildren are Stephen, Jack, Dean. Maya, Luke and Kennedy. He was a brother to Deidree Kae Reagan (Terry), and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
John's Memorial will be April 12th at 10 a.m. in the Julia Morgan Chapel at the Chapel of the Chimes. 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland.
