Dear Lococo and Fowler family members: Please accept my condolences for the loss of Jomar. News of her death was devastating on both a personal and professional level.
I had the good fortune to be introduced to Jomar about 15 years ago. Our county was looking for an 'expert' in special needs assessment of bi-lingual and bi-cultural students and her name came up as a local resource. With fingers crossed, I asked her to present trainings in this subject area for Sonoma County SELPA special education specialists. No surprise- she was well received and I was asked to bring her back as often as I could by attendees to her trainings throughout Northern California and especially here in Sonoma County. As the years progressed, so did my respect, appreciation and fondness for this mighty woman. I always knew who it was when I heard the words "Hello, my dear" on the phone. I will miss her presence in my life.
Randy, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I wish you a speedy and full recovery.

I was so saddened to hear of Jomar's death. Although I did not know her personally, she was well known to me through her speech therapy work. As a preschool speech & language teacher, I benefited from her knowledge and expertise with English Language Learners. Her death is a true loss to her family and to the world in which she shared so much of herself. My prayers are with all of you.

Sending my heart-felt condolences to the entire Lococo-Fowler family and Jomar's circle of friends. I have felt such admiration for Jomar and all she accomplished in our shared professional field, and I am grateful to have been associated with her - even just a little. Jomar was a stellar speech-language clinician and a compassionate, capable human being. Her positive influence on several thousands of children and hundreds of colleagues will be felt for many many years to come. Be at peace.
