Uncle Joe was a very special and kind man. I grew up with his love and kindness. He will never be forgotten and the memories I have of him will forever be in my heart. I love you Uncle Joe and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for me when I was a little girl. Love Forever and Ever

Joe Auteri was a co-worker and good friend to my father, Solomon Neal, when they worked for the Port of San Francisco. The friendship continued after their retirements. I particularly recall the thoughtful and insightful comments Joe shared with me at the time of my father's death in February 1994. Mr. Auteri knew a lot about my parents' children and that simply underscored what good friends he and my father were. I also recall how he shared in the surprise retirement celebration for my father back in December 1982. Mr. Auteri was such a nice person. I extend my deepest sympathy to his family and can only suggest that you hold dear those wonderful memories of him -- they may help to ease the pain of your loss. Sincerely,
