Joseph Hebel Obituary

HEBEL, Joseph "Joe" H. - Passed away quietly at home in Fremont March 17, 2005 at the age of 81. Joe was born in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph and Gabriella Hebel. He was married to his late and beloved wife Helen for 45 years. He is survived by his sister Marge Collyer, her husband Bob, and nephew Brian; his sons Joe, Jack, and Larry; his daughters, Alex-Ann, Jane, and Christina; his grandchildren, Sarah, Kyle, Ashley, Amanda, Jared, Courtney, Jackie, Dillon, Stevie, David, and Rina. He was proud of being a graduate of Saint Rita High School of Chicago, IL, and gave generously to their alumni association. Joe was a veteran of WWII; serving in the Marine Corps. Once a Marine, always a Marine, he gave to the American Corps League and the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. He was retired from American Airlines where he had worked for 44 years. Dad was an avid sports fan. However, his first love was always the Chicago teams, the Bears and the Cubs. He had donated time as a coach in the Fremont Football League. He was always getting "in shape" and was known as the "Walking Man of Fremont." If you could get there by foot, why take a car! Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service Thurs, March 24, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. at the Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd Hayward, CA 94544.
