Keith Green Obituary

Keith Bernard Green Was born on November 30, 1951 in Louisiana. He was the oldest of three sons born to Allen and Bertha Green. When he was born, he was fondly nicknamed "Butch" by a nurse in the hospital and the name just seemed to fit him. Keith was a devoted son and remained in close contact with his parents and brothers throughout his life. Keith was preceded in death by his dear mother, Bertha Lee Green. Keith grew up in San Francisco and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969 with his two lifelong friends, David Grafil and Teddy Villanueva. He was well known in school for his easy-going nature, quick smile and playful sense of humor. Through his friendship with David, Keith was introduced to Barbara Ann Bernard. On June 11, 1983, Keith and Barbara were married in a beautiful garden ceremony. Keith adopted Barbara's young daughter, Aimee and together they had a second daughter, Nicole. Keith was a loving husband and father, and was actively involved in his daughters' lives. Keith worked for several years as a supervisor with Crocker Bank and spent his later years taking care of his children and grandchildren. He frequently assisted the teachers with field trips and special events at their schools. He was well known for his consistent presence and made many friends with his warm laughter. Those left to cherish his legacy include: wife, Barbara Bernard Green; father, Allen Green; siblings, Steven (Sam) Green, and Ezra Phillip and Ola Green; children, Aimee and Tommie Owens, and Nicole Green; grandchildren, Olivia and Matthew Owens, and Mayia Ann Green; nieces and nephews, Stacey and Tremeca Corley, Kim Corley, Porsche' Green and Michael Green; and a host of loving relatives and wonderful friends.
