As a Master's Degree candidate in the German Department at Stanford, I have indelible recollections of Prof. Mueller-Vollmer and most especially of our semester together in Hamburg in the first half of 1962. He was a brilliant man and a fine teacher. Sincere condolences to Mrs. Mueller-Vollmer and to his family.
