Kurt Schlesinger Obituary

Kurt Schlesinger, MD Kurt was born in Czestechowa, Poland in 1918. His family came to the US in 1929, settling in Chicago. After World War II service on liberty ships in the North Atlantic, he graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1950. He began his over 50 year practice and teaching career in psychiatry in San Francisco in 1955. His career was wonderfully productive and creative, including many publications. Other interests included acting, art, literature, music, and tennis, which he played until the age of 87. He died July 21, 2007. He is survived by two children, Leni V. Reeves, MD, and Zack Schlesinger, Ph.D.; and by three grandchildren: Ilya V. Reeves, Aaron Reeves and Jillian Schlesinger.
