I was sorry to learn of the passing of Larry recently in the S.I. Genesis magazine. He was a grammar school classmate of my brother Steve (RIP). He was also a great Florist I used for over 50 years. Whenever I asked him what words to write on the card he said, " Don't worry I know what to say." May He Rest in Paradise.

I am so very sad to read of Larry´s passing. He was a wonderful man. Been a customer/friend (same thing as far as Larry was concerned) for more than 30 years. He is already terribly missed. Soar with the Angels Larry. My sincerest condolences to the entire Hoogasian Family

Larry was my dear friend starting from when we both attended the First Grade at St. Monica´s Grammar School in 1959.
We grew up in loving families at a time when old fashioned values mattered.
We went on to attend St. Ignatius College Prep and graduated in 1971.
Over the last 50 years we would mingle over a meal in the Richmond District, and participate in various school reunions with other Native San Franciscans.
I had the chance to be with Larry on June 30th at Kaiser South San Francisco...and it was truly quality time with my "Brother from another Mother and Father."
Larry and his family remain in my heart...fond memories for which I am very grateful.
Larry...may you go to the Light with Eternal Peace & Ultimate Love...until we meet again at the Spiritual Banquet!

San Francisco natives of a certain age will well remember the folwer stand outside of Gumps, and the colorful displays in the store windows at the family's shop on Lombard Street. Larry and Harold were always tops in customer service and sartorial splendor, with their lapel flowers. May you rest in peace, Larry.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Larry. He was a friend whom I had the pleasure of knowing for over 30 years. We shared many wonderful moments together, especially during our times at the Greatful Dean Shows. Larry's presence always brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Larry's obituary beautifully highlighted the remarkable person he was. I will forever remember the smiles his floral arrangements brought to my family and friends when I sent them flowers.
Larry's friendly nature and ability to connect with people from all walks of life were truly exceptional. Larry made everyone feel valued and appreciated.
I want to express my deepest condolences to his family and our circle of friends, and all those who were close to Larry. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on through the lasting impact he had on our lives.
Let us remember Larry for the incredible person he was and cherish the cherished moments we shared with him.
Sending you strength and heartfelt condolences.

Larry was a kind and giving man, always willing to lend a hand be it with Rotary related activities or his superb flower arranging. He will be missed. Condolences to the family.

I spent many a minute on the phone with Larry, ordering flowers for my daughter and others in the City. Last time, we joked about her last name being similar to his first name. He was always a joy to speak with, professional and friendly. My condolences to his friends and family.
