Pat, a longtime resident of Piedmont, the surrounding Bay Area, and a resident of California since November 1948, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the age of 91. Born on September 14, 1923 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Leo & Delia Casey. In 1951, he married his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Barrett. Pat is survived by his children, Coleen Manuel, Lea Anne Selleck, Monica Martin, Eileen Casey, and Lisa Torres; his sister, Sheila Dobbins, 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Leo & Delia Casey; and brothers, Paul & Phil Casey and daughter Clare Dana. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. In 1958, Pat started working for the UC Berkeley Police Department and retired as a Lieutenant in 1985. He was an active Past President of the Peace Officers Association (PORAC). Pat loved to travel, read, and loved to be with his family and friends.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

A terrific gentleman to all he came in contact, with never a bad word about anyone. A loving father to all his girls. We shared many a story over his favorite beer and cigar.
