Lissette Martinez Obituary

Lissette A. Martinez Passed away December 29, 2010. Loving mother of Peter and Estrella Amaya, Karla Valle and the late Carlos Enriquez; dearest daughter of Jose Martinez and Maria Molina; loving sister of Vilma, Ada, Jorge and William Martinez and Norma Molina; loving niece of Maria del Rosario Martinez. Lissette loved spending time with her children. She enjoyed being a registered nurse at San Francisco General Hospital and teaching nursing classes. She helped everyone in their time of need no matter what the circumstances were. Karla said, " Mom loved to put make-up on." Tita said, "Mom loved to go to the beach because of the calm vibe." Peter said," Mom loved going out to parties and dancing." William said," Sister likes everything in order and clean, she also liked reading and listening to music." She will be greatly missed. Friends may visit Tuesday, January 4th, 2011 after 3:00pm at Driscolls Valencia Street Serra Mortuary, 1465 Valencia St, SF (between 25th and 26th) with a Vigil Service at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday, January 5th at 12:00pm at St. James Church, 1086 Guerrero St., (23rd and Guerrero), S.F. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations Preferred to Lissette Martinez Children's Education Trust, C/O Wells Fargo Bank, 2595 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94110 preferred. Online Condolences, www.driscollsmortuary.com.

Lissett you were a great friend and i always enjoyed our chats carpooling to work . After all the years of being friends you were always there to listen to me even if i would be texting you in the middle of the night . You were a good mother to your kids and supported them with their life decisions no matter how tough you were fighting for your own life . I also thank you for inviting me to your graduation when you achieved your dream of becoming a register nurse .... i know this was a very important day in your life . You will be in my prayers and i will miss you very much . Bye my dear friend !!!
