Loretta Wong Obituary

Loretta Yee Wong born in San Francisco on June 19, 1928. At rest on March 30, 2013.


Beloved wife of the late Edwin Wong for 61 years. Loving mother of her 3 girls, Denise (Sherman) Lee, Jadine (the late Steve) Yamamoto, and Deanne (Robert) Surtees. Cherished grandmother of Stacey Lee (Chad Stegeman), Kevin Lee, and Maia Surtees. Survived by her sisters Lillie Jung, Frances Chan, and Shirley Yee, and brother Richard Yee. Predeceased by her sister Bonita Yuen, and brothers Bob, Chuck, and Raymond Yee. Aunt of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.


Loretta's kind heart, generous nature, and the smile she always had for everyone will be dearly missed but remembered always by all who knew her.


According to her wishes, there will be no services. Contributions in Loretta's memory may be made to the American Lung Association.

Aunt Loretta was a genuinely kind, warm and happy person. I have wonderful and fond memories of her. May she join uncle Ed in peace. My thoughts go to her daughters as they mourn their loss. Aunt Loretta, you will be missed.
