Margaret Webster Obituary

Sister Margaret Webster entered eternal life on June 23, 2024. Sister Margaret was born in San Francisco on July 9, 1932, and was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Lawrence and John Webster. She entered the Presentation Sisters on January 5, 1950, and made final vows on January 1, 1956.
Sister Margaret held a bachelor's degree in education from the University of San Francisco and a master's degree in educational psychology from Loyola University of Los Angeles. She served in the field of education for twenty-six years, first as an elementary teacher and later as a high school counselor.
In 1977, Sister Margaret accepted an invitation to work with Father John Hampsch, CMF, in the Claretian Tape Ministry. This was her life for over twenty-five years, allowing her " to meet people from all walks of life whose spirituality and love of God inspired and encouraged" her.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, at All Saints Chapel of Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. Interment will follow.
Memorial contributions to the Sisters of the Presentation are preferred and can be sent to Sisters of the Presentation, Development Office, 281 Masonic Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94118, in memory of Sister Margaret Webster.
