Marion Farwell Obituary

Marion Farwell

Marion Farwell, 72, died of cancer on January 8, 2016 at her home in Mill Valley, CA. Marion was a watercolor painter who loved hiking and spending time in her garden. She had two sons, Thomas Farwell Dibblee and James Francis Foster Dibblee (who died in 2008). Marion walked to downtown Mill Valley and along the town's hiking trails nearly every day that she lived there, and will be remembered as a friendly presence who loved to chat with neighbors and passersby. At her family's summer home in Michigan, she will be remembered for the silhouette she drew along the horizon as she canoed along the shores of Lake Superior. A reception in her honor will be held in Marin County, CA this spring. Please contact Marion's sister, Edie Farwell, at [email protected] for details. To support a cause in Marion's name, please send donations to the Huron Mountain Wildlife Foundation at 1088 Park Avenue, Apt. 10E, New York, NY 10128.

I miss our conversations. I miss my friend.
I never said goodbye because I didn't want you to go.
Until we meet again..

Pam remembers "Marsie" well as her glamorous keeper at HMC. We were astounded to receive the news of her passing. We feel for the Farwell family in their loss and are reminded of how limited our time here can be. God Speed to Marsie.
