Mark Goodman Obituary

Mark Francis Goodman

Passed away with a smile July 10, 2016 at home in Daly City, CA at age 52.
Beloved husband of Anikka; brudder to Lisa (Doug), Michele (Sandy); loving dad of Amanda, Steven (Stefani), and Victoria; adoring uncle Munkly of Kyle (Tiphanie) and Scott (Brittney); joking great-uncle of Kayla and Jordan; and Papi of Elizabeth, Ella and Avery.
Mark was Lieutenant at Colma Fire Protection District, Mechanic Supervisor at Central County Fire Department, and Vice President of the California Fire Muster Association.
Mark was passionate about all things family, fire, cars, and hunting. Although born and raised in the city, he was a country boy at heart and found solace in the quiet of the B&B Ranch in Cloverdale and his second home in Virginia City, MT.
Friends may visit at 1:30PM and A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday July 17 at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City.

I miss you Mark!

October 20, 2017

I miss you my friend! You've touched so many lives and I hope you know how much you are missed and loved by so many. We were such a tight little group growing up in the neighborhood. I remember hearing the roar of your Chevelle as is went (some when you times too fast) down the street. Those who knew you will have a hole in their heart that was made when you left us. I think of you often and still can't believe you are gone.

Well Mark, it's been one year since you've been gone, but you already knew that. I miss you just as much, if not more, than I did a year ago. I still find myself starting to go over to your house when I need something or just to ask a question (you were always there for me and ALWAYS willing to help), but then I realize you're not there anymore and it makes me so incredibly sad. I put up Christmas lights in December and I couldn't get into it
like I did when you were still here and putting up yours. Christmas wasn't the same with my house all lit up while your house was dark. Christmas will never be the same again. As a matter of fact, the neighborhood will never be the same without you in it. Damn it Mark, I wish you didn't have to leave when you did. I love you, always gonna miss you and think about you every time I see your house and trucks (yes they are still parked at your house) :) and since I still live next door, I think of your everyday. Be good, know you are still loved and missed and fly free and I like said before, I'll catch you in the breezes.

I worked with Mark at the Colma Fire Dept. He was a lot of fun and we always had a good laugh. The last few times I ran into him, he expressed his happiness with his job and family. I am very sorry we lost him... May his family find peace in this difficult time and I will always remember him as an honest, trustworthy, and caring individual.

Mark was my first friend ever growing up and a brother to me living only four houses away. All the shenanigans we got into together made for many funny stories and happy childhood memories. We lost touch through the years living in different states, but you were often in my thoughts. Lisa and Michelle I'm sorry for your loss. Mark, may you rest in peace my brother. May your wife find comfort in knowing what a great guy you were and how many lives you touched. I will miss you...

What can I say about 52 years of living right next door you, 52 years of seeing you smile and laugh, 52 years of you being the greatest neighbor anyone could ever want? I know I can say one thing, it wasn't long enough. I'll miss you outdoing me on the Christmas lights and ALWAYS being there for me when I needed you. Fly free Mark, I love you and I'll catch you in the breezes.

Mark Ed, Joe and I used to hunt at Eagle Lake back in the 90's, he was one of the founding members of Camp Fudd established in 1992. We had some great times hunting, listening too music on his home made boom box and just hanging out. It always amazed me how Mark could come up with ways to make camp comfortable for us from lighting to using a washing machine drum for our camp fire. He was a pretty good cook too. I'm sorry we all drifted apart but I will always have the fond memories of us hanging out. Rest in peace Mark, we will all meet again at Camp Fudd in heaven.

Worked with Mark at Four Star. He could fix and drive anything. A natural talent. Mark had a easy going manner and a great heart. He will be missed.
